Your father and I would most definatly agree that on October 28, 1759,was the happiest day of our life. Though we wished you to become a priest, your father and I understand that you prefer the law, and, after being educated in our native town and at Troyes, you went to Paris. We missed you of very much. We have heard through other bourgeois families that you have married. I beleive were told last year(1787). Well my son, I love you and so does your father. Please hurry home to visit!
